Job description

Southgate Primary School is seeking a dedicated, compassionate and enthusiastic SEND Learning Support Assistant to join our committed team on a permanent basis. Working closely with teachers, families and external professionals, you will play a vital role in delivering tailored support, promoting independence, and ensuring every child can access an engaging, inclusive and high-quality learning experience. What we're looking for: A good general education, including GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above. Experience in working with children with significant and complex needs Ability to assist with pupils’ personal care, administer medication or provide health care in line with school policy and Individual Health Care Plans A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. This role is perfect for someone who is dedicated, patient, and enthusiastic about helping students reach their full potential within a supportive school environment.
