About the role

Teacher Special Educational Needs MPS/UPS, (depending on experience) plus Special Needs Allowance Shaftesbury High School is looking to appoint a SEND Teacher from January 2027. Shaftesbury High School educates 170 pupils aged 11 to 19 all with a range of special educational needs. We are looking to recruit a SEND teacher to work with a Green Curriculum class. Our learners who have SLD, operating at Year 1 or 2, follow the semi formal Green Curriculum pathway. Becoming part of the Shaftesbury team is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who wants to work in a culture that has high expectations for students with SEND and ourselves. The successful candidate will provide learning experiences and opportunities that will provide learning experiences that matter to our students. This post will be ideal for a Secondary SEND teacher or an Upper Primary SEND teacher or teacher who would like to work in a secondary SEND setting. We view professional development as an important part of ensuring our students have the best possible academic and personal experiences whilst at Shaftesbury. Understanding the importance of work/ life balance and wellbeing is at the heart of our leadership and our learning.
