About the role

We are looking for a caring and committed SEND TA to join our school. This position is to support a specific SEND pupil with limited speech and independence skills. Experience of working with children with significant speech, language and communication needs is desirable. The successful applicant will support the pupil with their social and learning needs. This will include one to one work, small group work and supporting the pupil within the classroom environment, alongside their peers to develop their: Communication and social interaction skills Attention and concentration skills Early literacy and mathematical skills The successful applicant should: Be prepared to support an intimate care plan Build positive relationships with pupils Value personal development as well as academic achievement Have good literacy and numeracy skills Demonstrate enthusiasm for all teaching and learning activities Have experience of working with pupils with a variety of needs Be paediatric first aid trained or be willing to complete the course. Our dedicated leadership team is committed to continuous improvement. We work together with our partner schools in the Learning for Life Education Trust, a locally based multi-academy trust. Hours of work: You will be required to work 31 hours and 15 minutes per week (8:40am - 3:25pm with 30 minutes for lunch), Monday-Friday, 39 weeks per year. Please note that holidays cannot be taken in term time, but an allowance for holiday entitlement is paid accordingly. We are open to job share arrangements for this position. Salary: Grade D, Scale points 3-4, £25,614 - £26,017 FTE (Pro rata for part-time) Contract: Named child contract. Your contract will be linked to the funding of the name child. When the child leaves the school, the contract will end.
