Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Administrator at Appleton Academy. The successful candidate will occupy a key role within the school, providing a high level of administrative support to staff, students and parents to help us in our aim of delivering outstanding school support services. About our School Appleton Academy is an all-through school providing education to children between the ages of 3 & 16 based in the heart of our community in Wyke. We operate in state of the art facilities in an expansive, modern site. We are part of Exceed Academies Trust and have a diverse, experienced and highly skilled workforce. The successful candidate will: Be confident in solving complex problems and working with colleagues from across a range of roles Be familiar with service level agreements, meeting targets and managing their workload to deliver an outstanding service Provide a high-level administrative service, including undertaking tasks such as word processing, reception duties, managing visitors, organising and attending meetings and minute taking Engage in continuing professional development and training Manage complex data and information while ensuring that school systems are kept up to date Ensure that policies and procedures are followed Plan, review and organise resources and the allocation of tasks to ensure the smooth running of administrative services Maintain critical school records and databases, ensuring confidentiality is maintained where necessary, but meeting the school’s statutory responsibilities, including to external organisations such as the DfE Assist in managing HR and recruitment processes, including recruitment of temporary and supply members of staff, and absence management procedures Assist the Office Manager in leading other staff in the department to ensure that the administrative team deliver an outstanding service to staff, pupils and parents We can offer; A hard-working team dedicated to the success of our students Supportive Trust central team, school leadership, governors, staff and parents An inclusive approach to learning High quality Continuous Professional Development opportunities Free access to an Employee Assistance Programme Secure, on-site parking Excellent employer pension contribution scheme Exceed Academies Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.
