About the role

St Mark’s Catholic Primary School is a heavily over-subscribed one form entry school situated in the heart of the community it serves. We are incredibly proud of what we achieve having being judged as ‘Outstanding’ in our most recent RE, Collective Worship and Catholic Life Inspection and has a very strong Catholic ethos and excellent Parish links. Our school was last inspected by Ofsted in February 2025, when we were judged to be a good school in all areas. We have an exciting opportunity for a hands-on Site Manager to join our St Gabriel the Archangel Multi Academy Company, based at St Mark's Catholic Primary Academy, to provide effective and efficient site management duties in a safe, welcoming and conducive to learning environment. Candidates with a trade such as plumbing, painting/decorating, carpentry or electrical would be desirable, although not essential. We wish to appoint a motivated, adaptable and experienced Site Manager with a high calibre of DIY skills, excellent communication at all levels and good working knowledge of Health and Safety to join our team to maintain and improve the academy building and grounds. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an environment that focuses on high goals, and rapid improvement. The successful candidate will follow company policy and procedures to ensure that the safeguarding, security and excellent education of our pupils is paramount. If you have any further enquiries about this post, please contact the school directly. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, and pre-employment medical clearance. In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE), online searches will also be carried out for shortlisted candidates. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Closing Date: 09/11/2026 (12:00pm) Interview Date: 13/11/2026
