Position: Spanish Teacher Location: Portsmouth Contract: Full-Time Start Date: September Key Stages: KS3–KS5 Spanish Teaching Role in a Secondary School A well-established secondary school in Portsmouth is seeking to appoint a Spanish Teacher to join its Modern Foreign Languages department from September. This is a full-time role within a supportive and ambitious school that values languages, cultural awareness, and high-quality teaching. Spanish is a popular and highly regarded subject within the school, with students encouraged to develop confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing while gaining an appreciation of Spanish-speaking cultures around the world. About the Role You will teach Spanish across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that inspire confidence, curiosity, and strong language development. Students will study grammar, vocabulary, translation, literature, cultural topics, and conversational fluency while developing communication skills and intercultural understanding. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Spanish examinations, supporting them in building confidence with speaking assessments, writing accuracy, comprehension, and exam technique. You may also contribute to wider MFL initiatives and enrichment activities across the school.
