Alternative Provision (Vulnerable Learners) Support Worker (Known Internally As 'Restart Key Worker') We are looking to recruit an inspirational and dedicated individual to support the effective operation of Restart, the school’s internal inclusion provision, by providing consistent, calm and relational support to pupils who require time away from mainstream lessons due to significant or persistent behaviour concerns, serious incidents, or difficulties accessing school. You will work closely with the Restart and Reach College team, pastoral staff, teaching staff, attendance team and wider school community to help pupils regulate their behaviour, engage with learning, develop positive relationships and successfully reintegrate into mainstream education. The role will also provide targeted support to pupils who are hard to reach or experiencing difficulties with school attendance, helping them to establish positive routines, build confidence and increase their engagement with school. The successful candidate will be willing to do ‘whatever it takes’ to ensure our pupils/students reach their full potential. We are incredibly proud, as a truly comprehensive school which reflects the cosmopolitan make up of Leeds, to be recognised by Ofsted as an 'outstanding school'. We would encourage you to view our most recent Ofsted report from November 2023 which is available on our website. 'Leaders act with a relentless moral purpose. They are committed to supporting every pupil and member of the staff team. They actively seek ways to manage staff workload and well-being. Staff are proud to work at this exceptional school'. Ofsted.
'Pupils thrive academically, and personally, at Roundhay School. Staff know each pupil individually. They work tirelessly to provide exceptional support. Pupils enjoy attending school. Attendance is high. Pupils learn effectively across the whole school. They consistently achieve highly in external exams and tests.' Ofsted.
