You will contribute to high-quality curriculum delivery, teaching, assessment and student support, using evidence-informed practice to identify priorities, support colleagues and improve student outcomes. You will provide leadership within your area of responsibility, promote consistent practice and contribute to the successful implementation of Academy and Trust priorities. Working collaboratively with colleagues across the Academy and deputising for the Subject Leader when required, you will champion high expectations, continuous improvement and excellence in teaching and learning. Why Join UKAT? We are committed to supporting the wellbeing, development and success of our staff. As part of our team, you will benefit from: Benenden Healthcare membership. Free access to wellbeing, health and counselling services. Free on-site parking and discounted electric vehicle charging. Access to our on-site gym facilities. Staff Thrive Days in addition to scheduled professional development days. Tailored professional learning pathways and trust-wide career opportunities via the UKAT Institute. Eye care and hearing care vouchers. Free annual flu vaccinations. Relocation packages for eligible candidates. Interest-free loans and travel loans. Excellent transport links, with London and the wider South East within easy reach, or you may benefit from the cycle to work scheme with UKAT. Located in Medway, Kent, Chatham Grammar is a high-performing and inclusive school with a strong academic tradition and ambitious aspirations for every student. We welcome applications from colleagues at all stages of their careers who share our commitment to delivering an exceptional education and enriching opportunities for all learners. UKAT is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All appointments are subject to enhanced DBS and safeguarding checks. We reserve the right to close a vacancy earlier than an advertised date if we have received applications that meet the criteria. The University of Kent Academies Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). In addition, the Trust will carry out an online search, once, as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates. This is intended to help us identify any incidents or issues that have happened and are publicly available online. The selection panel will then explore such items with the candidate during interview. The Trust’s HR Team or another member of staff trained in safer recruitment, will use Google.com to conduct each search and no adverse judgement will be formed for applicants with limited or no online footprint
