At BOA Digital Technologies Academy, you will teach English within a digitally innovative academy and a Trust with a deep commitment to creativity in education. The BOA Group is seeking to appoint a motivated and dedicated Teacher of English to join the team at BOA Digital Technologies Academy. We are looking for an excellent classroom practitioner who can deliver high-quality teaching, build strong subject knowledge and help every student make progress. The BOA Group is a growing Multi-Academy Trust committed to high standards and creative education. Our academies provide learning environments that bring together the expressive arts, specialist technical education and digital skills. The Group comprises BOA Creative, Digital and Performing Arts, BOA Stage and Screen Production, and BOA Digital Technologies, all based in Birmingham. Our academies benefit from facilities that support academic achievement, vocational learning and a rich programme of extra-curricular opportunities.

THE ROLE:

BOA Digital Technologies Academy is seeking an exceptional Teacher of English to join a committed team. The role will be primarily based at BOA Digital Technologies Academy, with opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across the BOA Group. You will plan and deliver engaging English lessons that develop students’ understanding of language and literature. You will help students read widely and critically, communicate clearly, and write with accuracy and purpose. You will use assessment to identify gaps in learning, adapt your teaching to meet students’ needs and support them to achieve ambitious outcomes. You will contribute to the development of the English curriculum and work closely with colleagues to share effective practice. We are looking for someone who sets high expectations, builds positive relationships and helps students recognise the value of English in their learning and future lives. The Group believes that all young people deserve to learn, enjoy, succeed and thrive in a first-rate educational environment. You will be supported to develop your expertise and contribute to the wider life of the academy. Working in close collaboration with our creative and industry partners to develop and deliver specialist programmes of study, students learn the skills they need to join the very best production houses all over the world. BOA Digital Technologies - an academy for 11-18-year-old learners passionate about digital technologies, which opens for the first time in September 2022. BOA Digital Technologies will deliver a specialist education in creative and digital technologies, maximising future opportunities for all students working closely with the industry to ensure that we address the growing demand for digital level skills now and in the future. Our academies are regional and admit students from across Birmingham, the Black Country (including Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton) as well as from Coventry and Solihull.
