Position: Temporary Part- time KS2 Target Teacher/ PPA Cover Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons (including adaptations) in line with the KS2 curriculum. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that deeply considers Cognitive Load Theory (extraneous and intrinsic load) Assess and monitor pupils’ progress, providing constructive feedback/ feedforward to support their individual development. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall development of teaching and learning (pedagogy and subject knowledge). Demonstrate a willingness to embrace current research and innovative practice. Recognise and value the benefits of Continuous Professional Development & Learning (CPDL) Establish effective communication channels with parents/guardians, ensuring they are informed about their child's progress and involved in their education. Foster supportive and nurturing relationships with children, families and staff. Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events that enhance the overall educational experience of our pupils. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). A commitment to high standards of safeguarding and the advocacy of children’s welfare. A thorough understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and effective teaching strategies. Passion for teaching and a commitment to providing an inclusive education that meets the needs of all learners. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues. Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons. Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude towards professional development. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020.
