What if your next lesson helped a young person believe in themselves a little more? At Broadstone Middle School, we know that great teaching is about more than a curriculum. It is about curiosity. About having the confidence to try. About learning that getting something wrong is often the first step towards getting better. And about discovering that, with the right encouragement, you can achieve more than you ever thought possible. We are looking for a KS3 Maths or English Teacher who can bring their subject to life, challenge pupils to think deeply and help them discover what they are capable of. Make your subject matter We want our pupils to leave lessons with more than more than strong academic knowledge. We want them to become confident problem-solvers. We want them to ask questions, embrace challenges and develop the resilience to keep going when something feels difficult. As our new Teacher, you will create engaging and ambitious learning experiences that inspire pupils to think, reason and succeed. You will build on what they already know, identify misconceptions, celebrate progress and help every learner achieve their potential. You’ll have high expectations, a thoughtful and consistent approach to behaviour and a genuine belief that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed.
The teacher behind the difference We are interested in what you bring to the classroom, not just what is written on your application form. You may be an experienced teacher looking for a fresh challenge, or an early-career teacher eager to develop your practice and make your mark. What matters most is that you believe that good teaching can open doors, spark curiosity and help young people see what they are capable of achieving. You will be reflective, adaptable and committed to continually developing your practice. Most importantly, you will care deeply about helping children learn, grow and thrive.
