Job description

We are seeking to appoint an inspiring, enthusiastic and vibrant Teacher of Science (Maternity Cover) to join our Science and Technology faculty at Thurston Community College. The faculty is staffed by experienced teachers who are passionate about their subjects and their teaching. The faculty work collaboratively and welcome forward-thinking initiatives and are able to offer a new colleague advice, support and professional development opportunities in a friendly, positive and creative environment. Within Science there are outstanding resources for teaching and learning with a total of sixteen laboratories across our two campuses and dedicated preparation areas. All staff and students have access to excellent ICT resources for use both within the laboratories and in specialist ICT suites. The successful applicant will be required to teach across the three science disciplines at key stages 3 and 4. We welcome applications from experienced and early careers teachers.
