Moulsham High School is a thriving, inclusive community that welcomes students, parents, staff and visitors from all backgrounds. Our ethos is for students of all abilities and backgrounds to feel valued so that they can reach their potential, not only academically but also as well-rounded individuals who are prepared for life in the modern world and can contribute positively to their local and wider communities. We are a high performing comprehensive school where the quality of education is outstanding. 2023’s G.C.S.E. results put us in the top 16% of all schools nationally. Teaching and learning is at the heart of all we do and the professional development of our staff is a priority. Behaviour is calm and the atmosphere is productive and purposeful, making it an enjoyable place to be. However Moulsham High School never stands still; we are forward looking and believe that the best is yet to come. Moulsham High School is part of the Bridge Academy Trust: a collegiate and collaborative Trust, where, first and foremost, each school is a place of (high quality) learning, where young people ENJOY, ENRICH, ACHIEVE & ASPIRE. The core purpose is to provide high quality continuity of every child’s journey through education from 3 to 19, with a community and school-led school improvement approach and long-term sustainable strategy. Bridge Academy Trust is committed to its people strategy and prioritises staff’s development to ensure they too can enjoy, enrich, achieve and aspire.
Moulsham High School is seeking an exceptional, enthusiastic and highly skilled primary-trained teacher, ideally with substantial experience of teaching Upper KS2 (Year 5/6), to join our forward looking and evolving Inclusion Hub.
The Inclusion Hub classroom will provide a nurturing, structured and ambitious learning environment for mainstream secondary-aged students who experience significant barriers to accessing learning, particularly those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
The successful candidate will combine strong primary practice with the ambition to develop their knowledge of the secondary curriculum, initially at Key Stage 3 and potentially into Key Stage 4. Teaching will combine individualised 1:1 support and small-group lessons, typically involving up to a maximum of 6-8 students. They will adapt teaching to individual needs while maintaining high expectations for achievement, independence and participation in mainstream education. Our intention is for all students to ultimately leave Year 11 with 8-9 GCSE's or Equivalent qualifications and the successful candidate will share this high expectation and ambition for all students. Bridge Academy Trust may close this advert early if we receive a high volume of suitable applications.
