The role in a nutshell As a teacher within the Trust, you will have the opportunity to reach out and be a mentor and a role model for children who need the guidance and support that your qualifications and experience will bring to the role. Classrooms and teachers are continually learning how to collaborate with our children to secure the very best outcomes they deserve by creating beautiful and meaningful work that can be shared with peers and families. You will bring a deep love of learning and pass that passion and knowledge onto our children every day. Children with additional needs deserve to be treated the same as all other groups of children. They deserve the same opportunities and access to the rich learning experiences their mainstream peers enjoy. Our specialist school is seeking a qualified teacher who values each child as an individual, is committed to helping them succeed, and is confident in both supporting and challenging them to reach their full potential. We are particularly looking for strong primary practitioners with experience in EYFS, as well as Key Stages 1 and 2, who have a secure knowledge of the primary core curriculum. This will enable effective lesson adaptation and the use of formative assessment to positively impact pupil progress. Experience of working within a specialist setting is desirable, but not essential. Above all, you will demonstrate resilience, compassion, and a strong commitment to inclusion, particularly when working with some of the city’s most vulnerable pupils.
