About the role

Hurstmere School is seeking to appoint a highly effective English Teacher, to start in January 2027. This is a part-time, permanent role working 0.4 Mondays and Tuesdays, paid on the Outer London STPC MPS / UPS. This post would suit an experienced or Early Career Teacher with good prospects for career development. We will consider a full-time appointment for the right candidate. We’re looking for an inspiring and dedicated English Teacher to join our team. You’ll help students develop a passion for reading, writing, and communication while supporting them to achieve their full potential through creative and engaging lessons. The school is also offering a recruitment incentive of £5,000 which is split into the following payments - £2,500 subject to the successful completion of a probationary period, and a further £2,500 to be paid upon one year service. The successful candidate will have an attention to detail, will work to a high standard, and will seek to ensure a positive educational environment through their work.
