About the role

Are you passionate about Religious Education and dedicated to inspiring and motivating students, if so we would like to hear from you. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic professional to join our upper school. We have rapidly improved in the past two years and want inquisitive, positive, dynamic and resilient colleagues to join our excellent Humanities department and be part of our success. Our thriving faculty is currently recruiting for a Teacher of Religious Studies. The faculty is very well-resourced and there will be the opportunity to teach across all Key Stages. We can offer you: Centralised curriculum and behaviour systems which enable you to focus on your core purpose: teaching excellent lessons Highly motivated and ambitious students Teaching across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 Assessment strategies which support wellbeing and workload Excellent CPD opportunities An opportunity to join a dedicated team of supportive staff A positive, supportive community of staff, Academy Committee members, the Trust and parents An exciting modern school with state-of-the-art facilities Ideally, we would like to appoint someone who has: An awareness of Rosenshine’s principles of instruction An understanding of key substantive and disciplinary concepts in Religious Studies An awareness of some of the concepts explored in Tom Sherrington’s ‘Walkthru’ series or Doug Lemov’s ‘Teach Like a Champion’ series.
