About the role

“Where past experiences do not define our future potential”

We are moving to a brand-new school building.

We are relocating to Peckham.

We are expanding our provision and need to grow our team.

Are you an emotionally intelligent, resourceful professional who is able to distract, divert and inspire children who regularly display behaviours that challenge? Do you value learning – and aim to support children with their social, emotional and academic progress? Are you a resilient, fun and engaging individual looking for a new challenge?

Beormund Primary school serves children with complex social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. All of our children arrive with an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) stating differing needs that are communicated through their behaviours. All of our children need patience, time and care from the adults round them.

We hold high expectations of our children and ourselves. We are an outstanding SEMH school who live by the values of Ambition, Empathy, Honesty, Integrity, Perseverance and Resilience.

This is a highly rewarding role in a fantastic, challenging and unique school for someone with extensive experience working with children.

The safety, welfare and wellbeing of the children is the first priority of Governors and staff at Beormund Primary School. All appointments are subject to appropriate vetting and barring checks, as described in the current DfE Guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’
