About the role

Earley St Peter’s CE Primary School Church Road, Earley, Reading, RG6 1EY Teaching and Learning Assistant This is a permanent, part time, term time only role. Starting date: As soon as possible 24 hours per week (5 mornings and 2 afternoons to include half an hour of lunchtime duty every day) Grade 3 SCP 5-6 FTE £25,584 - £25,989 (subject to pay body review) (Actual Annual Salary from £13876 to £14096 Earley St Peter’s Church of England Primary School are looking for a fun, energetic and committed team member to join our staffing team. You will be involved in supporting the learning and development of children across KS2. The school is part of The Keys Academy Trust which is a primary specialist MAT committed to providing the very best educational experiences for our pupils and staff, so that our schools are recognised as centres of academic and pastoral excellence at the heart of the communities they serve. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with colleagues across our family of schools as part of the Trust’s CPD programme and networking opportunities. Main purpose: To provide support to pupils in line with the National Curriculum, codes of practice and school policies and procedures. Duties include: Establishing positive relationships with pupils Supporting pupils with activities which support literacy and numeracy skills Promoting positive behaviour and helping keep pupils on track Assisting with displaying and presenting pupils’ work Assisting with taking pupils on educational visits General requirements: Able to build a positive rapport and exercise patience and consistency Kind, caring and compassionate Experience with, or a love of, working with young people An awareness of commitment to equality Basic understanding of health and safety Understanding and implementing child protection procedures We welcome and encourage visits to our school, to arrange a visit please email the HR Manager, Jo Lambdon, on hr@keysacademytrust.org The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
