About the role

Teaching Assistant Apprentice Wingate Primary School National Apprentice Minimum Wage To start September 2026 Fixed term contract Are you passionate about working with young children and looking to begin a rewarding career in education? We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team on a fixed term basis as a Teaching Assistant Apprentice at Wingate Primary School. As an apprentice, you will work alongside experienced professionals to support children’s learning, development, and care. You will help create a safe, stimulating environment where children can thrive, assisting with classroom activities, promoting reading, language, and number skills, and encouraging positive behaviour. You will play a key role in helping children reach their potential while gaining valuable hands-on experience and working towards a nationally recognised qualification. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a passion for working with children. This is a unique opportunity to learn and grow in a supportive environment, making a real difference in children’s lives. Connect Multi-Academy Trust is legally obligated to process a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check before making appointments to relevant posts. The DBS check will reveal both spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and bind-overs as well as pending prosecutions, which aren't 'protected' under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 and check to establish that a person is not barred from 'regulated activity' as defined by the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006. Please note that we operate a probationary period of 4 months across all jobs in the Trust (see attached policy for further details). You will receive a comprehensive induction to support you to successfully pass your probation.
