Job description

12 Hours 1 to 1 Support LInked to EHCP funding Temporary Contract Term time only plus 5 Inset days We are looking for a Teaching Assistant (Grade 2) who, working under the direct instruction of our wonderful teaching team and based largely in the classroom, can support access to learning for pupils and provide general support to the teacher. This position would suit a positive, energetic, proactive team-player who is looking to start their career in education or just wants to make a difference! Responsibilities include: Attend to the pupils’ personal needs, and implement related personal programmes, including social, health, physical, hygiene, first aid and welfare matters Support pupils to understand instructions Support the teacher in managing pupil behaviour Prepare classroom as directed for lessons, clear afterwards and assist with the display of pupils’ work Be aware of pupil problems/progress/achievements and report to the teacher We can offer you: Children who will make you smile everyday A commitment to professional development, and being able to develop personal areas of interest linked with the role A school where staff enjoy working as part of a dedicated, supportive and creative team, aiming for excellence A supportive and encouraging Leadership Team and Governing Body An excellent Employee Assistance Programme offering a wealth of advice & support We warmly encourage visits to our school so you can see for yourself all that we can offer.
