About the role

We are looking to appoint One Level 2 Teaching assistants at Christ Church CofE Primary School. The start date for this role will be Tuesday 1st December 2026. This will be a permanent role, 5 hours a week (One day to be discussed with successful candidate), term time only. This role is paid at Grade 3 SCP 4-5, Actual salary £3034.81 - £3152.48 The successful candidate must be passionate about working with young children.  We wish to appoint a teaching assistant who is conscientious and compassionate and has high expectations and aspirations for all pupils. We are looking for someone who: Has a good understanding of child development and pedagogy

Has high expectations and aspirations for children in their care

Is able to motivate and inspire pupils through both 1:1 and small group work

Is enthusiastic, resourceful and committed to ensuring the highest possible standards of pupil achievement and personal development, supporting every child to flourish in all aspects of their life

Has experience of the needs and support strategies required to engage and motivate children in their learning

Is willing to contribute to the life of our school and our community

Has a commitment to their own personal and professional development

Is able to work effectively as part of a team
