Job description

Garretts Green Nursery School and Enhanced Provision provides high quality early education to children aged 2 years old to five years of age. We are looking for two practitioner with suitable experience of working with young children to join our team. Not only do you need to be a good or an outstanding practitioner but also flexible, resilient and able to contribute innovative ideas. “Children thrive in this happy nurturing nursery. They make a strong start to school life. Highly skilled staff use their expertise and detailed knowledge of each child to cater precisely for their needs.” July 2024 Garretts Green Nursery School and Enhanced Provision is a warm, nurturing, and inclusive early years setting dedicated to providing high quality education and care for young children. As one of Birmingham's maintained nursery schools, we are committed to giving every child the very best start in life through a rich, stimulating, and play-based curriculum that supports their learning, development, and wellbeing. Our experienced and highly skilled staff work closely with families to create a safe, caring environment where children feel valued, confident, and inspired to explore. Through our Nursery School and Enhanced Provision, we celebrate every child's individuality, promote independence and resilience, and ensure that all children, including those with additional needs, can thrive, achieve, and reach their full potential. Visits to the school are most welcome. Deadline for applications is Monday 5th October 2026 by midday. The successful candidate will be subject to all necessary pre-employment checks, including: enhanced DBS (criminal conviction check); Childcare Disqualification (where applicable); qualifications (where applicable); medical fitness; identity and right to work in the UK.
