About the role

Harborne Primary School is a vibrant, inclusive and ambitious school operating across two sites - Station Road and Court Oak Road - and serving 808 wonderful pupils. We are now seeking an exceptional Level 2 Teaching Assistant who brings passion, commitment and a strong understanding of effective teaching and learning. About the Role We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and motivated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support pupils’ learning and development, helping to create a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment. Key Responsibilities As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will: Support pupils individually or in small groups to reinforce learning and promote progress Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation, delivery and classroom organisation Encourage pupils’ social, emotional and behavioural development Help maintain a safe, supportive and stimulating learning environment Support pupils with additional needs, following individual education or support plans where appropriate The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: Holds a relevant Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) Has experience working with children in a school or educational setting Is patient, reliable and able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff Demonstrates good communication skills and a flexible, team‑focused approach Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children We Can Offer You At Harborne Primary School, you will join a warm, friendly and dedicated staff team united by a shared commitment to giving every child an exceptional educational experience.
