Teaching Assistant We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated TA (with midday duties) based at Derwent Primary School Full-time permanent contract Monday - Friday 8.45am-3.30pm (31.25 hours a week) with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break Level 2A point 3 £13.28ph (£25,614 per annum, pro-rata) Applications are welcomed from current and newly trained teaching assistants Person Specification Experience with supporting children in a learning environment Demonstrated enthusiasm and empathy in providing for children with additional needs in mainstream education A keenness to work closely with colleagues in a nurturing SEN provision on a mainstream school site Recent experience in working in the primary classroom Some knowledge of phonics Good knowledge of parent and report feedback including liaising with SLT and the SENCO We can offer successful applicants: Enthusiastic children with parents who are very keen to work with the school in successful education for SEN pupils.
