Teaching Assistant

Nields Academy Teaching Assistant with some SEN responsibility Fixed term contract until 31st August 2027 32.5 hours per week, term time only Salary: Grade 5, Scale Points 5-6, £19,273 - £19,579 (FTE: £25,583 - £25,989) Start - As soon as possible We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant for KS2 with some SEN responsibility. You will work under the instruction and guidance of teaching/senior staff, undertaking work/care/support programmes, to enable access to learning for pupils and to assist the Teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area with individuals or small groups. You will need to have a good understanding of Maths and English taught at a Year 5 and 6 level. You may be asked to support children who have an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP). Your role will be vital in helping to implement the provisions and strategies required to enable these children to achieve important life outcomes, which may include assisting with intimate care needs. In return you will work in a warm and welcoming school community, with dedicated staff and enthusiastic well-behaved children.
