LU3 1NS Tel: 01582 571597 www.denbighprimary.com TEACHING ASSISTANT 2 Hours per week (minimum 32.5 - maximum 35) plus 5 training days Pay scale (Level 3 Point 6 - 8) =£20,407 - £22,733 actual per annum We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and committed Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and inclusive primary school. The successful candidate will work alongside teachers and support pupils across the primary age range, helping children to achieve their full potential. You will work with pupils of all abilities, including children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), providing appropriate support both within the classroom and where required, on an individual or small-group basis. The role will involve supporting learning, promoting positive behaviour and independence and helping to create a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment for all pupils. Experience of working with children in a school or similar setting would be advantageous, but we are equally interested in hearing from candidates who demonstrate the right skills, attitude and commitment to supporting children.

Key responsibilities for this post:

Support students within all ability classrooms.

Provide 1:1 and group support where required.

Work alongside experienced classroom practitioners in the delivery of the curriculum.

Lead and/or support after-school creative or sports activities and events.

Candidates for this post will have:

Grade 4 GCSE or equivalent Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics

A very good standard of spoken and written English
