About the role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant Level 4 (Safeguarding and Wellbeing) to join our fantastic team at MEA Central This is apermanent role working 35 hours per week during term time only plus 5 INSET days, to start as soon as pre-employment checks are complete. The pro-rata salary is £25,823 and the full-time equivalent is £30,023 (Grade 5). About the Role MEA Central is seeking a dedicated and highly skilledTeaching Assistant Level 4 (Safeguarding and Wellbeing)to join our supportive and ambitious team. This is a vital role focused on promoting pupil wellbeing, safeguarding, and positive engagement, working closely with students who require additional emotional, behavioural, or pastoral support. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping pupils feel safe, supported, and ready to learn, by contributing to safeguarding practice and delivering targeted wellbeing interventions. Key Responsibilities Act as asafeguarding-focused supportfor pupils, working under the direction of senior staff and the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) Support pupils’emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and engagement in learning Deliver and supporttargeted interventionsto meet individual pupil needs Build trusted, professional relationships with pupils while maintaining appropriate boundaries Monitor and report concerns relating to safeguarding, welfare, or attendance in line with school policies Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff, families, and external agencies Maintain accurate records and contribute to reviews, reports, and meetings where required Promote inclusivity and positive behaviour in line with the school’s values To find out more about the full responsibilities of the role and to ensure you meet the essential criteria, please review the attached job description.
