Job Advert Required: As soon as possible Salary: £25,989 - £26,403 pro rata (actual salary: £17,737 - £18,020) Hours: 30 hours per week, Term Time Only Contract Type: Fixed Term Location: St Margaret Clitherow Catholic Primary School, South Bank We wish to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking teaching assistant (Level 2) to provide support for teaching and learning in our friendly and inclusive school. The successful candidate will have a clear commitment to promoting the well-being of the children in our care and to raising standards. St. Margaret Clitherow’s Catholic Primary School is part of the Nicholas Postgate Catholic Academy Trust, a family of 32 primary schools, and 6 secondary schools. With more than 12,300 pupils and 1,500 plus staff, the Trust is now one of the largest Catholic Multi Academy Trusts in the UK. We are looking for a teaching assistant who: ● Will promote our friendly Catholic ethos, and will work as part of a committed team. ● Will be an excellent practitioner with high expectations for children in their care. ● Can provide tailored support to a child in both the classroom and individual settings. ● Will have a commitment to inclusion, innovation and creativity ● Has experience of supporting children with a range of special educational needs, including children on the autistic spectrum. ● Can work closely with teachers, therapists and other professionals to support pupil progress. ● Can use initiative to adapt approaches in order to support a child’s learning needs. ● Will contribute towards creating a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment. ● Can support pupils with personal care and physical needs where required. ● Has the ability to form positive, professional and effective relationships with colleagues across school, other professionals and parents/carers.
