Early Years Teaching Assistant (Level 2) Ecton Village Primary Academy, West Street, Ecton NJC Scale Point 3 to 4 (£25,614 to £26,016 FTE) Actual Salary (up to £9326 - £9472) Part-time (up to 16 hours) | Term Time Only | Flexible Working Pattern Please note: To meet EYFS statutory staffing requirements, applicants must hold a DfE-recognised Early Years qualification that can be counted within EYFS staff ratios and a level 2 in English. Ecton Village Primary Academy, part of Hatton Academies Trust, is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and committed Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated EYFS team. This role offers an excellent degree of flexibility and would suit candidates seeking a working pattern that fits around other commitments. We are open to applications from individuals who can work either: Five afternoons per week, or, Two full days per week The exact working pattern will be agreed with the successful candidate and the academy to meet the needs of the provision. About the Role Working alongside our experienced Early Years team, you will support children's learning, development and wellbeing within our EYFS environment. You will help create a nurturing, engaging and inclusive setting where every child can thrive, supporting both individual pupils and small groups in their learning and development. The successful candidate will: Support learning through play and structured activities Assist in observing, recording and assessing children's progress Help maintain an engaging indoor and outdoor learning environment Promote children's independence, confidence and social development Work closely with colleagues and families to support children's learning journey Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and child welfare Essential Qualifications and Experience A key requirement of this role is that applicants must hold a qualification that is recognised by the Department for Education as full and relevant for inclusion in EYFS staff:child ratios. Please only apply if you hold an appropriate Early Years qualification (Level 2 or above) that meets this requirement. You will also need: Level 2 qualifications (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics Experience of working with young children Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage A warm, positive and child-centred approach Strong teamwork and communication skills.
