NVQ Level 2 in childcare/early years or equivalent Knowledge of EYFS and child development Minimum of GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths at grades A – C. Committed to own professional development, and be willing to undertake appropriate training. Good communication and listening skills and be able to present information verbally and in writing. Able to feedback information to teachers and other staff. Understand school’s policies and how they relate to local and national frameworks/policies (e.g. child protection, health and safety, equal opportunities, SEN). Good knowledge and understanding of the curriculum. Able to use ICT effectively to support learning. Can adapt planning if required. Have a ‘can do’ attitude, able to solve problems and exercise initiative. The belief that all children deserve a life of choice and opportunity Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all children Has an interest in, or experience of, supporting children with SEND, Autism and/or social and communication difficulties. Ability to work successfully with children with SEND Be passionate about working with children and developing young minds Is enthusiastic, adaptable and committed to creating an inclusive learning environment.
