About the role

Salary: £17,702 - £17,982 (FTE: £26,016 - £26,427) Hours of Work: 30 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 08:45 - 15:15), including an unpaid break Contract: Fixed-Term initially until 31 August 2027 Grade: 4 Role: Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant Are you passionate about supporting children to succeed? Botley School is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join our team and make a positive difference to the lives of our pupils. The role may include working 1-1 supporting special needs in school as well as general classroom Teaching Assistant duties About Botley School Botley School is a welcoming primary school just outside Oxford, serving a diverse community. We provide an inclusive environment where every child is supported to achieve their potential and develop a strong sense of belonging. The Role Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will support pupils across the school. The role may include one-to-one support for children with additional needs alongside general classroom Teaching Assistant duties, helping pupils to develop confidence, independence and achieve their best. Key Responsibilities Support pupils individually and in groups. Encourage positive behaviour and independence. Assist with classroom activities and lesson preparation. Support literacy, numeracy, and wider curriculum learning. Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues. Participate in educational visits and school activities. Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment. Follow safeguarding procedures and policies at all times. Requirements GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent).
