Job description

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed SEN Support Teaching Assistant to provide enhanced support within our EYFS provision. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, initiative and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Experience of supporting children in the Early Years stage would be desirable. The role will involve working closely with pupils to support their learning, communication, development and wellbeing, enabling them to access the EYFS curriculum and participate fully in school life. The postholder will work collaboratively with the SENDCo, EYFS team and class teachers, contributing to the implementation of appropriate support strategies, monitoring pupil progress and promoting positive outcomes for children with special educational needs. We are looking for someone who is nurturing, patient, adaptable and committed to inclusive practice, with a strong understanding of the individual needs of young children. We reserve the right to close this advert early should a suitable candidate be found. Early applications are therefore encouraged.
