Teaching Assistant

EYFS and SEN Learning Support Assistant (H5) Applicants must hold EYFS Level 3 (or an equivalent qualification suitable for working with nursery-aged children) and be willing to undertake paediatric first aid training. We are seeking staff for either a morning role (7.45am-1.00pm) or an afternoon role (12.00pm-6.00pm), working 5 days per week. We will also consider part-time applications for 2 or 3 mornings or afternoons per week. Morning Role 7.45am-8.30am Supporting a small group of EYFS children and/or pupils with SEND in our Early Morning Club, led by a manager and assistant who are also Learning Support Assistants within the school. 8.30am-1.00pm Working predominantly on a 1:1 basis with a pupil who has complex additional needs, with occasional general classroom support or small-group work. We are looking for someone who: Is confident working with children. Can remain calm, consistent and supportive when managing dysregulated behaviour. Demonstrates empathy, resilience, patience and strong communication skills. Has an understanding of the needs of pupils with SEND. Afternoon Role 1.00pm-3.15pm Working predominantly on a 1:1 basis with a pupil who has complex additional needs, with occasional general classroom support or small-group work. 3.15pm-6.00pm Supporting a small group of EYFS children and/or pupils with SEND in our After School Club, led by a manager and assistants who are also Learning Support Assistants within the school.
