Teaching Assistant

About this Role Due to 2 of our brilliant teaching assistants beginning their teaching careers, we are looking for someone to join our team as a Teaching Assistant. We want someone who will bring enthusiasm and a commitment to children's learning to our school. The ideal candidate must have teaching assistant experience and ideally be qualified to Level 2/3 or have have experience of covering classes across the school. The contract is on a permanent basis, 31 hours 15 minutes per week, term-time only, 39 working weeks per annum (including training days). We would consider a Level 2 or Level 3 candidate, dependent upon qualifications and experience. The right candidate will need to be adaptable, enthusiastic, highly motivated and have the ability to work effectively as part of a team. They must demonstrate full commitment to the school, its ethos and the aim to raise standards.   They must be committed to undergo relevant training for the role such as first aid or other medical training. You will assist the class teacher in the delivery of High Quality First Teaching, as well as supporting children one-to-one/small groups in the classroom and leading interventions. This position will be working across the school in Early Years, KS1 and KS2, we would therefore encourage applications from candidates with experience in all areas. The role will also include a half hour lunch supervision.
