About the role

General and 1:1 Teaching Assistant The role will involve supporting the class teacher and groups of children during the morning, providing general classroom support and helping children with their learning. During lunchtime and in the afternoon, the role will then provide dedicated 1:1 support for a specific child, helping them to access learning and participate safely and successfully in school routines and activities. Full time - temporary contract to 31.08.27 Starting grade for pay 38 weeks a year Monday - Thursday: 8:20am - 3:30pm Friday: 9:20am - 1:50pm Lunch 30 minutes We wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join us here at St Leonard's Church of England Primary Academy. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of our team and provide excellent care and education for our pupils. The successful candidate will have a passion and enthusiasm for working with children, be creative, dedicated and have a positive attitude to joining a forward-thinking school. You must be able to demonstrate that you can build excellent relationships, want to make a difference to all children and have excellent communication and organisational skills. Your role will include contributing to the delivery and monitoring of interventions for individuals and small groups, supporting assessments and evidencing learning, working with the teacher to create stimulating classroom displays and learning resources plus building positive relationships with the children by being an approachable, caring and supportive role model.
