We are looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our team at Reedswood, supporting children in our Reception class. The successful candidate will have experience working within an Early Years setting and a genuine passion for supporting young children to learn, develop and thrive. You will work closely with the class teacher to provide a nurturing, stimulating and inclusive learning environment where every child can reach their full potential. Key responsibilities: Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment, in accordance with lesson plans and assist with the display of pupils’ work. Assist with the implementation of individual Education/Behaviour plans and Personal Care programs as agreed with the teacher. Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs. Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher. Support pupils in social and emotional well-being, reporting problems to the teacher as appropriate. Pay range: NJC SCP 9-17 £21,749.73 - £24,757.28 (Starting at SCP 9) (FTE: £28,153.00 - £32,046.00) 32.5 hours per week, term time only 39 weeks per year. Fixed Term until 31st August 2027. Qualifications and Skills: TA3 qualification or relevant experience GCSE Maths and English minimum grade C or equivalent Relevant educational experience supporting a child/children in a primary school setting Experience of working with children who have a wide variety of educational needs Has Ruth Miskin Phonics experience - this would be an advantage, but is not essential.
