St Nicholas CofE Primary School is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to support children in their learning and development, helping them thrive both academically and personally. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide high-quality classroom support, ensuring all pupils can access learning opportunities and achieve success. The Role You will: Support pupils in the classroom and during learning activities. Provide individual and small-group support, including for pupils with additional needs. Promote inclusion, independence, confidence and positive behaviour. Assist with the implementation of education, behaviour and personal care plans. Help create a safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment. Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff. Support literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum activities. Assist with educational visits, lunchtime supervision and other school activities as required. About you We are looking for someone who: Has experience working with or caring for children. Has good literacy and numeracy skills. Can build positive relationships with children, colleagues and families. Works effectively as part of a team. Understands the importance of safeguarding and inclusion. Is willing to learn and engage in professional development opportunities. Has knowledge of child development and learning strategies (desirable). Holds a Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience (desirable).
