Job description

We are seeking to appoint a caring, motivated and experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at Elston Hall Primary School. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed practitioner who is passionate about supporting children's learning and making a meaningful difference to their educational journey. The ideal candidate will have significant experience of working with pupils with SEND and a genuine passion for helping them achieve their full potential, as we continue to develop our informal resource base. However, the successful applicant may work across the wider school community, depending on their specialist skills and experience. CLOSING DATE: WEDNESDAY 23 SEPTEMBER 2026 - 9:00 AM INTERVIEWS: ThURSDAY 1 OCTOBER 2026 Our commitment to the wellbeing and safeguarding of our young people Elston Hall Learning Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All appointments will be subject to an Enhanced DBS and barred list check along with other relevant employment checks including at least two satisfactory references, prohibition check for teaching staff, right to work in the UK and qualifications. Shortlisted applicants will be asked to complete a self-declaration form prior to interview and online searches will be carried out on all shortlisted applicants. References will be sought for shortlisted applicants prior to interview where possible. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020. The post holder must be aware of and adhere to the Trust’s and school’s policies and procedures in connection with Child Protection and Safeguarding.
