Job description

We are looking for a positive and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work within our SEN team to provide support for pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan. The successful candidate will have the skills to work alongside the class teacher and SENCo to ensure that the children are accessing the curriculum and making positive progress with their emotional development and their academic learning. Ideally, you will have some previous experience of working with children with SEND, but most importantly we are looking for someone who is calm, caring and consistent in their approach, who is committed to maintaining our high standards and wants to make a difference, and who is willing to 'go that extra mile’ to better the life chances of our children. The role may involve supervising children over the lunchtime period. The trust will be undertaking a job evaluation exercise in the near future and, therefore, the grade for this position may change. Further details about our school and an application form are available on our school website: https://www.carrjunior.co.uk/ An application form, job description and person specification are available on the Trust website: https://excellearningtrust.org.uk/careers/ Please email applications to recruitment@elt.org.uk marked for the attention of Laura Winston. Excel Learning Trust reserves the right to close advertisements early. Advertisements will therefore close at midnight either on the advertised closing date, or at the point the decision has been taken to close the advertisement early. Applicants will be invited for interview once suitable applications are received, therefore early applications are strongly encouraged and advised.
