About the role

After School Care Welfare Assistant- Grade 3. 7.5 hours per week- Wednesday to Friday, 3.30pm-6pm. Fixed term- until 16th July 2027- with possibility of permanent post dependant on future pupil numbers. £13.28 per hour, pro-rata. Broken Cross Primary Academy and Nursery is a busy one form entry school, proud to be one of the founding members of the Halliard Trust. We are looking to appoint a welfare assistant to join our After School Care team. The role involves supervising children after school from both nursery and school, arranging appropriate activities, initiating and supervising play on the playground and indoors. The role will be from 3.30pm- 6pm- Wednesday - Friday during term time. The successful candidate must enjoy working with children and as part of a team will be expected to effectively apply the school’s policy. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children. All appointments are subject to stringent safeguarding procedures, including enhanced DBS clearance.
