The Year 3 Teacher will plan and deliver progressive sequences of learning that deepen pupils’ knowledge and skills across English, mathematics and foundation subjects. This Year 3 Teacher role offers structured mentorship and opportunities to contribute to curriculum development and assessment practice. • Year 3 Teacher required for a full-time position • Year 3 Teacher required to work within a forward-thinking primary school in Northamptonshire • Year 3 Teacher to join a dynamic KS2 phase with strong support and development opportunities The successful Year 3 Teacher will be involved in day-to-day classroom teaching, targeted small-group work, and collaboration with the SENDCo to ensure all pupils access the curriculum. Responsibilities • Plan sequenced Year 3 lessons that promote mastery and application of key concepts. • Use varied assessment strategies to inform planning and support pupil progress. • Lead small-group interventions and scaffold learning for different needs. • Work closely with colleagues to share best practice and maintain consistency across KS2. • Engage with parents to report progress and agree next steps. Person specification • Qualified teacher with recent KS2 experience and strong Year 3 practice. • Clear subject knowledge and experience of designing effective curriculum sequences. • Calm, organised classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management skills. • Enthusiastic about working in Northamptonshire and contributing to the school community. • Available to take up post in January 2026.
