Job description

Thank you for your interest in this post. We are looking to employ a caring individual who is reliable and energetic to join our friendly staff team. The role will involve supporting a child with additional needs in Year 2, working through the child’s learning jobs set by the Class Teacher. The child has medical needs and will need support from an adult who will follow him around ensuring that his feeding tube does not get trapped or pulled. The individual will a) attend to the medical needs of child following training b) ensure the safety of child in relation to his feeding tube (and others) at all times c) alert SENCO/Headteacher and parent of any medical concerns d) update on the child’s day and measures in a daily communication book which goes home each day with the child e) read through the child’s EHCP and support accordingly
