Administrative Assistant - St Gilda's Catholic Primary School Salary: £17,893 to £18,255 Hours: 32 hours per week, working 8.30am-3.30pm Monday to Friday Permanent, Term time only Behind every successful school is an organised and welcoming front office - the person who keeps everything running smoothly, offers a friendly first impression, and takes care of the many small but important details that support both children and staff each day. We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Administrative Assistant who takes pride in their work and plays a vital role in supporting the daily life of the school. You will join a supportive, welcoming, and values-driven community. We are looking for someone who: Provides a calm, friendly, and professional front-of-house presence, welcoming visitors, answering calls, and supporting parents with enquiries. Keeps accurate records and supports the smooth day-to-day running of the school through strong organisation, ICT skills, and attention to detail. Manages pupil information and attendance efficiently, with the ability to prioritise and stay composed in a busy environment. Supports a wide range of administrative tasks, including communications, bookings, and general office duties, with a proactive, “can-do” approach. Works closely with staff to meet pupils’ day-to-day needs, demonstrating teamwork, efficiency, and empathy.
