The Role As a Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher, ensuring students remain engaged, focused, and on task. You won't be expected to plan lessons or mark work, making this an ideal role for those looking to develop their classroom management skills and gain experience in secondary education. Your responsibilities will include: • Supervising classes across a range of subjects using lesson plans provided by teaching staff. • Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment. • Supporting students with their learning while encouraging participation and engagement. • Recording attendance and reporting any concerns to school staff. • Adapting confidently to different schools, year groups, and classroom environments.
