Key Responsibilities • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet individual learning needs. • Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and complex needs. • Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom where every pupil feels valued and supported. • Monitor pupil progress and maintain accurate records in line with EHCP outcomes. • Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, parents, carers and external professionals. • Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and resilience through a consistent and relationship-focused approach. • Adapt teaching strategies and learning resources to maximise engagement and achievement. • Encourage pupils to develop confidence, communication skills, independence and a love of learning. Requirements • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification. • A passion for delivering high-quality, inclusive education to pupils with Special Educational Needs. • Experience supporting children with Autism, SEMH, ADHD, Speech and Language needs or other additional learning needs is desirable. • A caring, patient and adaptable approach to teaching. • Strong behaviour management and classroom management skills. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider school team. • Able to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, families and colleagues. • Committed to helping every pupil reach their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.
