Key responsibilities • Work closely with teachers, the ALNCO, and pastoral teams to provide tailored academic and emotional support for students aged 11–16. • Support students in building confidence, overcoming barriers to learning , and achieving their full potential. • Provide 1:1, small-group, and classroom-based support throughout the school day. • Support the development of students' social, emotional, and behavioural skills. • Work alongside the school's Specialist Resource Base (SRB), providing personalised support for students with additional learning needs. • Help manage behaviour positively and effectively, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment. • Support students during lessons, transitions, break times, educational visits, and wider school activities. Experience doesn't have to come from a school setting , but transferable skills and experience must be demonstrated during the onboarding process. Essential: • Experience working with children or young people in education, youth work, care, sports, coaching, mentoring, or similar transferable settings. • A calm, patient, and resilient approach , with the ability to build positive relationships and manage challenges effectively. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills , alongside a genuine commitment to student wellbeing and achievement. • An understanding of the social, emotional, and developmental needs of secondary-aged students, including those with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
