Job description

West Coventry Academy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Refocus Lead to join our pastoral team. This is a vital role focused on supporting the personal development and wellbeing of our students, helping them thrive in a safe, respectful and supportive environment. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in providing targeted behaviour support and leading the daily operations of our refocus provision. Key Responsibilities To work with the pastoral team to provide effective pastoral care for Years 7-11, ensuring all students can achieve in a safe and supportive environment To co-ordinate the affective running of the Refocus Room To analyse data, monitor attendance, and home/school liaisons Provide support and advice to students, promoting their social care and personal development with respect to learning, along with ensuing the health and safety of all students in line with school and Trust policies. What you'll need to succeed Be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Have experience working within a pastoral role or with students in a supporting role Be able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure Be committed to supporting the learning and development of students Be committed to supporting the values and ethos of the school.
