About the role

ASSISTANT HEADTEACHER - SCIENCE (L17 - L21) Are you an experienced Head of Science with a proven track record of raising academic standards? Are you looking for the next step in your career & wanting to be a senior leader? Do you believe in the values of Hard Work, Integrity & Kindness? If so, this could be the opportunity for you! Required for January 2027, Jack Hunt Academy (JHA) is seeking an experienced & ambitious Science leader to join our SLT and lead our Science team into the next stage in their development. Science is a very popular subject at JHA and we run GCSE triple and combined courses at KS4. Science is at the heart of our 6th Form offer with A level Biology, Chemistry & Physics; we also run Applied Science. You will be a full member of our experienced and successful SLT, playing a key role in all strategic & operational aspects of the school. You will have whole school responsibilities alongside Science that will be discussed at the interview stage. JHA is a highly popular, large comprehensive school in central Peterborough. JHA is oversubscribed and has an excellent local reputation. We are proud to be part of Keys Academies Trust and we have very strong links with the local community. This appointment is for 5 days per week
