Job description

We are seeking a committed and highly organised Student Attendance Officer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in supporting student attendance and maintaining accurate school records, helping to ensure that every student has the best possible opportunity to succeed. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing attendance records, producing reports and statistical returns, maintaining student information systems and supporting the wider administrative functions of the school. You will work closely with colleagues, students, parents and external agencies to ensure attendance information is accurate, up-to-date and compliant with statutory requirements. This position is contracted on a 7.5 hours per week Term Time Only basis (Monday only 7:30am-3:30pm) . Job Purpose To administer student information in the school. To administer efficiently and effectively the school’s attendance records and to provide the school with complete and accurate attendance records. Key Skills and Experience Sound educational background including GCSE’s in Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent. Experience working in a school environment would be advantageous. Ideally possess prior experience within a similar role.
