Job description

We are seeking a proactive, enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisor and PE Technician to join our dedicated team. This is a varied and rewarding role, combining classroom supervision with practical support within the PE department. As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring that students remain on task and engaged with pre-set work. As a PE Technician, you will support the smooth running of the department by preparing equipment, maintaining facilities and assisting with the delivery of high-quality physical education. This role is ideal for individuals considering a future career in teaching or those with a passion for sport and supporting young people. This position is contracted on a 37 hours per week Term Time Only basis . This means you will mainly work when the school is open to pupils and will not need to work during the school holidays unless the contract requires you to do so. Job Purpose (For further details on the role, please find the Job Description below) To provide classroom and registration cover for absent teachers and provide administrative support as requested. To support to the PE Department, taking responsibility for the organisation, coordination and supervision of afterschool sports activities and clubs in addition to coordinating the House Sporting Calendar.
